Sunday, a random article with no title.

Spent the day listening to one song only:

Other than fondling my memories of my old childhood hero, this song gives the 'ooomph' I need for the next few days of work. Oh, the hells of corporate world... but I need not to be afraid now that I got Mebius behind me.. BANZAIII!!!!!!!

For the past week, I was spending a well-earned vacation in Redang Island. I really promise some photos but still being lazy to figure out how to copy those pictures out from my iPhone to my PC, not like those days where you can drag-and-drop images from my Nokia. Shit this iPhone for making simple things more... more... ah, just fuck this iPhone.

And fuck those ifags.

..Yet Another Hacking

Going through my usual routine work in the office, and then I receive an email that some hackers will be going rampant on all .gov.my (government agency websites) at 15 June - 17 June, starting from 3:30am. So this is what a group of people call 'retaliation' towards the governments movement to block the 10 file-sharing websites on Malaysian network.

It took me a few seconds to digest the fact that some people now still crazy, before I skip to reading my other emails. Seriously, how the fuck is this a retaliation? You may sound like an anonymous hero trying to fight against the government, but you're waging war on the wrong people.

At 3:30am, assuming all government agency websites are being compromised, who are the ones responsible to restore? Who are the ones that will stay in the office 24 hours trying to fix the mess someone else had created. In the end, it is still the people that are also against the file-sharing website blocking who will be suffering from this attack, while they are busy drinking tea in their 50 million dollar mansion, acting like nothing happen.

Do you seriously think that they are responsible for their own websites? Why the hell do they pay RM1.8 million just for a goddamn Facebook page?

Victim of Hacking

Everyone knows the meaning of "hacking" by now, thanks to our friendly company Sony who has been the victim for hackers again and again for the past 2-3 months. The first attack was on April which millions of their customers details have been compromised, and has become a big issue. Nowadays there is still news on them being hacked again by some nerd and many people are starting to laugh at them.

I used to know one guy in college who is a total nerd who likes hacking. Recently he has been posting some stuff about hacking on his blog (can't remember), showing people how hacking techniques like the famous e-mail phishing scam is done. When he talks about hacking stuff, he is the GOD.. but when it comes to talk about girls, he still sound like another nerd. I will always remember his favorite gesture: two hands on the table doing 'typing' motion. That is the only thing he do after eat and sleep.

Back to hacking, he mention something about some company got hacked and saying how stupid they are to fall victim of hacking. It may sound funny to him, to the hackers, to the people observing this incident... until they themselves fall victim of being hacked.

There was one incident at my work, one of our clients website was hacked. I didn't record down the exact details, but the next 2-3 hours was chaos in the office. People were running in the office, rushing to re-build new backup servers. Another group of people were busy looking for that loophole which let the hacker to come in the mess up the website. There was lots of shouting, some people were really pissed, some people were about to cry. A backup server was brought online and everything to redirect to the new server, but the problem was not over. It took them 2-3 weeks to compile the reports and schedule the meetings with our clients. All this because one website was defaced.

Imagine that you all of your company's client personal details were compromised, because some no-life nerd who probably couldn't woo a female donkey woke up one morning and decides to destroy someone else's life. Unfortunately he picked you. Security is a serious issue, boy.. not something to laugh.

..But for another case, which the hacker cracks a program for the benefit of many many people, like the iPhone jailbreak..

Although it is still hacking, but this is something which we're not losing our personal details, but having access to free apps. Now THIS is something to be happy about. FUCK YOU Uncle Steve, we want their long overdue free apps, and we got what we wanted!! Let's hope these hackers isn't screwing us with the jailbreaks.
